Play to Develop is the next step in Canlan's Play Forward Pathway once participants have completed all the milestones in Play to Learn. This program is aimed to work with kids aged 8-12 and build on the skills of stickhandling, passing and shooting. The focus of Play to Develop will be split between developing the fundamentals of stickhandling with the puck and using those skills in more engaging, free flowing drills, players get to do exercises that involve teamwork and making plays together. They'll also be introduced to passing and receiving the puck, keeping the hands away from their body, and controlling the puck in motion. By enrolling in Play to Develop, your child will be another step closer to becoming the complete hockey player!
