Play to Learn is Canlan's introductory hockey program that is meant for those who have a basic understanding of how to skate, but want to learn the game of hockey. The program is geared towards kids aged 5-8, but older children who have never played hockey before are still encouraged to take part in the program as we seperate participants on the ice based on skill level. Participants should be able to stand, fall, and get up on their own and be able to glide safely down the ice. Some skills particpants will learn in this program are: forward stride, hockey stance, stops, and turns along with many more. Our amazing instructors will work with your child to lay the groundwork to become the best hockey player they can be!
