PLAY HARD HOOPS SUMMER “D” LEAGUE

Canlan Sportsplex – 28156 W. Northpointe Blvd – Lake Barrington

 

An old basketball saying is that players are made from March to October as those that continue to work on improving their skills and fundamentals in the offseason will come back different players the next year. Play Hard Hoops worked with over 200 kids in spring leagues throughout Chicago! Play Hard Hoops will continue to build on its spring league with a Summer Basketball League, which will be another great opportunity for young hoopers to improve and have fun playing basketball. 

LEAGUES 2018

Entering 4TH -7th Grade Leagues 6:00-7:00PM (Players Split into Age Appropriate Groups)

Entering 1st-3rd Grade Leagues 5:00-6:00PM (Players Split into Age Appropriate Groups

COSTS: $215 – 10 Weeks / $125 – 5 Weeks

DATES: Monday Nights - June 4 – August 13 (10 Weeks) – No Class July 2nd

Davis Adelman started Play Hard Hoops in 2009, which includes basketball instruction, leagues, tournaments and kids classes throughout the Chicagoland area. Play Hard Hoops currently runs programs for thousands of kids per year in over ten locations through out Chicago. Play Hard Hoops is for players from beginner to advanced who are eager to improve as basketball players, while also learning the value of developing a positive attitude. Play Hard Hoops Canlan Sportsplex Director:  Ron Christians

 

Coach Ron Christians has worked with Play Hard Hoops is entering his third year and has directed several of the Play Hard Hoops programs.  Ron is a native of Wauconda, where he was an All-Area Player at Wauconda HS before playing four years at Loras College in Iowa.  Ron has coached with the Wauconda Feeder program and is a tremendous communicator and teacher.  His energy as a coach has helped continue to boost Play Hard Hoops into the premier youth basketball program in Chicago.


 

 Canlan and Little Volleys Youth Volleyball Skills Program

 

 

Program Information/Goals:

To develop love for the game of volleyball by teaching the correct fundamentals in an environment that is catered to younger athletes so they will experience success.  Learning the proper fundamentals at a young age will provide them with a solid volleyball foundation going forward, and will help give them the edge when trying out for their school/club team.  Little Volleys Academy camp will develop motor skills (agility, jumping, reaction time and speed) as well as teach the importance of teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive mental attitude.

Led By Coach Betsy Spicer Brookbank

Betsy is a Barrington High School grad, who went on to play volleyball at the University of Illinois.  She was a two-time All Big-Ten and All-District Award winner who then went on to play professionally for three years.  After her playing career, Betsy has continued to coach many levels of volleyball including; collegiately at St. Louis University, as Assistant Varsity of the Barrington High School Boys and Girls programs, and has given individual lessons.  She has a passion for working with young kids and loves making a positive impact on their lives!

 


Fall Session 1: Tuesdays: September 19-October 24 (6 Weeks)

Winter Session 1: Tuesdays: November 7-December 12 (6 Weeks)

Winter Session 2: Tuesdays: January 9-February 27 (8 Weeks)

Spring Session 1: Tuesdays: April 3-May 22 (8 Weeks)

 


 

 



 

 

GEOSTRIKER is a complete striker specific on field training program designed to maximize goal ratio and the overall performance of

strikers and attacking players. Global relevant methods have been implemented into the design of this program. Exercises based on a wide

array of game like scenarios. Training objective is to provide 400% - 500% more finishing opportunities than a typical team training session.

The addition of position specific speed training will also be introduced in this camp.
