Did you miss your opportunity to turn pro? Did you ever dream of playing in the League that made you feel like a pro? Well, you’re in luck. Canlan Sports Softball Leagues runs competitive and recreational Coed, Men’s and Women’s divisions with various age and skill levels.

The focus is on skill development, teamwork and overall sportsmanship and enjoyment of the game. There is one weekly practice for grades 3rd – 8th, and all games are played on Saturdays. All teams are coached by parent volunteers. For grades 5th – 8th, the first session will be an evaluation day that consists of skills and drills stations to assess players current level. Coaches are required to attend evaluation day/time for the grade they will be coaching. Using the evaluations, teams will then be drafted by the coaches and Canlan staff immediately following the evaluation as equally as possible. Evaluation day is for players who are registered in advance of their evaluation day, there are no walk-ins for this program. Players who register on or after evaluation day will be randomly placed on a team by Canlan staff and will not be part of the organized draft day selection process. For grades 3rd and 4th grade, players are placed on teams after registration is submitted by Canlan staff. Each player will receive a reversible jersey to wear for games.

The Canlan Sports adult basketball league is scheduled to begin on Sunday, Jan 9th. Teams will play 8 regular season games followed by a single elimination tournament. All games will be played on Sundays at Canlan Sports – Libertyville with game times starting between 6-10pm. There will be no games played on Febuary 13th (Super Bowl) or March 13th. All teams must wear matching numbered uniforms for every game. Team registration only. Full payment is due at time of registration and registration close on December 27th.
